A bear was shot on Sunday north of Falun of a hunter.
The bear was shot at Rotbodarna, between Svartnäs and Svabensverk in the northern part of the municipality of Falun.
The hunter called himself to the police and said he shot the bear in self-defense. In the afternoon, however, was unclear circumstances, and at 15 o'clock was the police at the site.
Bear hunting is finished since a few weeks back and no longer bears get shot. This means that the police are now investigating the incident as a hunting offense.
