A wolf pack is almost always a family with one couple, The so-called. alfaparet, and their puppies. The cubs are born in early May and a litter usually consists of 4-6 kids. When the puppies are barely a year wandering the majority off to find their own home area and hopefully a life partner. It happens, however, that one or more young wolves stops and helps the parents to take care of the new litter for another year.
