Environmental Protection Agency has proposed that hunting with bow and arrow should be allowed. It is something that the Swedish Hunters Association welcomes. But the proposal is criticized now by several commentators, including Agriculture.

Anyone who wants to hunt with bow and arrow must, according to the Environmental Protection Agency's proposal, have a regular hunting license and an international bågexamen. It would then be allowed to hunt including deer, Fox, raccoon and beaver.

Supported by hunting associations
It encourages the Swedish bågjägareförbundet, and now the Swedish Hunting Confederation, after a period of wavering on the issue.

- In the past I was able to find that it felt primitive, but now we see that there are advantages and it works just as well as with gunpowder weapons, says Daniel Ligné the Swedish Hunters Association, which has its main office at East Malma outside Nyköping.
