The Alliance's predatory policy in the election campaign and after the election 2006 increased conflicts about predators. This applies to both rural, in society at large and between Sweden and the EU.

By first pledge, then implementing a licensed hunting of wolves in breach of EU rules, the Alliance has promised hunters something they can not deliver. It is not surprising that the disappointment is great. As a bonus, they have wasted valuable confidence Swedish capital on the environment.

It is clear that the Alliance's predatory policies have been ill-conceived. Thus, the resources focused on the sometimes chaotic played out and forced preparations, instead to focus on measures which they would have done more good.

Unfortunately, the Government set to continue its crooked way of predator policy. This left four examples:
1 – The government's latest predator investigation suggested budget improvements for both predator management and conflict prevention, including wildlife damage compensation. The government increased funding for predator management, but reduced funding for wildlife damage compensation and prevention by about 20 percent.

2 – The government says the budget to predator pressure has increased in the reindeer herding area, but then turn that that should be handled by culling and "other hunting" - is unclear what.

3 – Before the latest predator investigation (SOU 2012:22) could even circulated for government submitted a mission to the Environmental Protection Agency under great pressure to produce an estimate of how many wolves are needed to cope with less than 10 percent risk of extinction 100 year, provided that the genetic problems of the wolf is resolved. The wording of this unrealistic calculation is in line with what the Hunters Association representatives proposed in its special opinion Predators investigation.

4 – The government has given the Environmental Protection Agency to develop a management plan for the wolf before the decision was made clear goals, a somewhat reverse order.

However do not seem the national committee appointed by the Government in order to appease the EU still have had no real role. According to the government's list of upcoming bills relating nor the Government to return to Parliament before the end of the year with a bill based on the Predator investigation.

Government paves the way for continued conflicts in the predator policy. This is very unfortunate.
