After the attack on the three sheep in the Örebro area, it is now clear that it will cull of a wolf. Laboratory Response to DNA samples from one of the attacks shows that in the case of a wolf of Scandinavian origin and therefore not a wolf with special protection genes.
The hunt begins tomorrow and will last at most until 24 mars

In the space of a week in February and March, attacked three sheep flocks within a radius of 15 km outside Örebro; in Närkes Kil, Grave and Glanshammar.

CAB field personnel could secure DNA trace the attack in Glanshammar. Today came the answer on the DNA analysis of Viltskadecenter at Grimsö Research. The answer is that the tracks are from a female with Scandinavian origin, likely a ungvarg from Villingsberg The territory. Wolf is therefore not classified as genetically valuable to the Swedish wolf population.

The board has against this background, today took a decision on culling in accordance with the Hunting Ordinance 23a, 23b and 24 b 'to prevent serious damage, in particular to crops, cattle, forest, fishing, Water or other property ".

The hunt will be conducted from tomorrow, 9 March and at the most until 24 mars.

The board has appointed a special hunt leader. Hunting leader responsible for organizing the hunt and report to the County Board within one hour of the wolf has been convicted.
