More prosecutors could investigate serious crimes hunting on large carnivores.
Today it is primarily environmental prosecutors Åse Schoultz and Christer B Järlås investigating serious crimes hunting for bear, varg, Wolverine and lynx.
- I'll take up the issue this Monday with the head of the unit, says Christer B Järlås.
According to Christer B Järlås the rough hunting violations burdensome matters because it is so huge media interest.
He also tells us that there been discussions about having specialists on species protection offenses of prosecutors at the National Department of Environment- and the working environmental. But the discussions led to that there will be no such specialists.

The National Department of Environment- and working up the environmental 1 januari 2009 as a national operational unit within Prosecution. At the unit dealt among other cases of violation of the Environmental Code, working failure and failure to work teams, environmental crime prosecuted under another primary legislation and coarse hunting violations of the protected predators.
National unit operates at five locations in the country: Malmo, Gothenburg, Jonkoping, Stockholm and Östersund. Kansliort is Malmo.
