A picture that showed that many dogs were kept in a too small exercise yard has aroused reactions on social media. The result was an animal rights complaint to the Administrative Board, who ensured that the cage dismantled.
There are Italian small-game hunters who flew in dogs to have with them on small game hunting in Norrbotten. The picture shows some 20 dogs in what is considered far too small exercise yard at a campground near Kvikkjokk to Jokkmokk. In addition to the picture aroused reactions on social media, a notification to the welfare of the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten submitted.
- They have declared that it was not good management and they thought that there were too many dogs in this type of exercise yard, says Anna Brave, Head of animal welfare and veterinary unit.
