All indications are that there has been a rejuvenation in wolf territory Priest Forest, Ljusdal. Gävleborg County Administrative Board has conducted two traces in the territory and on Wednesday was traced seven wolves. According to the Environmental Protection Agency's criteria, however, three tracings done to rejuvenation should be ensured.

Priest Forest The territory is relatively newly established and both parents were considered particularly genetically valuable. The male in the territory is the wolf that previously had territory in Galven, he has migrated in from Finland or Russia and has previously left three litters in the Galven district.

About a year ago, the wolf left its territory and disappeared for a while, but was found this spring thanks to DNA analysis from droppings. It turned out that he then formed a new territory, north of its old, together with a genetically important wolf bitch from Kynnareviret, Norge.

The bitch is the offspring of another Russian wolf that was discovered years ago 2007 encounters.
