Many of the bears that were shot by the year hunting was unnatural food in their stomachs. This has been a matter of corn, and dog food loaf. The county administrative boards suspect that these are the hunters tried to attract the bears with unauthorized carrion.
The problem exists in many parts of the country. A third of the bears have been shot in Gavleborg this year had disallowed carrion debris in their stomachs, and a large part of which bears precipitated in Dalarna, according to Swedish newspaper Hunting. None of the bears shot in Gavleborg had been shot near notified carrion places.
Suspected crime
Carrion means trying to attract animals to a place by laying out food. To hunt with bait is only allowed under special rules, and any bait will be reported to the provincial government. There are also strict rules about what you can attract with.
Even so, there were unauthorized carrion for five twenty-eight of the bears stomachs examined for this year's hunt in Västerbotten.
